• Major work:  Their Eyes Were Watching God/ movie- Color Purple
•  Harlem Renaissance research
• Major work- independent reading- Farenheit 451

3^rd NINE WEEKS-

• Literary elements:  Tone, theme, Elements of drama
• Grammar:  double negatives, usage-most common mistakes
• Writing: Review all elements of FCAT Writing
• Major work: Antigone
• Greek World research

4^th NINE WEEKS-

• Literary elements:  style, Point of View
• Grammar: punctuation, conjunctions
• Writing:  Sentence fluency, compare and contrast, poetry analysis
• Major work:  Julius Caesar; The Shakespearean & Petrarchan sonnet

Short Stories/poems:
